THE IMPACT OF DEC MICRO CREDIT ON A BENEFICIARY NARRATED BY MRS. AGNES EBO

I want to share my exiting life story with the assistance of Development Education Centre (DEC) Enugu.

My name is Mrs. Agnes Ebo. I hail from Nenwenta in Awgu L.G.A, Enugu State of Nigeria. I am 37 years old, married with four children (a boy and three girls).

I got married to Mr. Festus Ebo at the age of eighteen (18). That was immediately after my secondary school because my parents were unable to sponsor my Tertiary Education.

During my early stage in marriage, www.fakeapwatch.com my husband is a motorcycle mechanic in the village and I and my children then depended on his meager income for our family up keep. Things were not easy for us as we could not afford to eat two meals a day.

I wasted my precious time at home for many years with nothing to show as a woman in the family because I had never believed I can make a positive life story as poverty had been the order of the day right from my father’s home; until when DEC field workers visited our community at the village square on the 7th day of September 2010. Oh! What a life changing visitation!

During the training held by DEC, field workers titled “women for economic empowerment” I participated for three consecutive days after which most of the participants were qualified to access DEC micro credit loan facilities.

I accessed a loan of N40, 000= during my first stage of DEC loan in early 2012 which I invested into selling of fruits and vegetables in our local market at Orie Awgu. This business has been growing in size and I have been making profit from the sales which prompted me to access another DEC loan of N80, 000= in the year 2013 and as a matter of fact, this business has been sustaining me and my family members in a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Replica surprising way that I was able to train two of my daughters in secondary school while my first son got admission to study law at Ebonyi State University. My youngest daughter is still in her primary school level.

My people!  It is always good to take wise decision on time before it is too late, just as I did and I am now convinced that every woman is a star.

Development Education Centre (DEC) Enugu, I can never thank you enough but I will forever wish you ever green life to live and sustain the lives of the less privilege
